Springfield Civic Theatre and the Springfield Arts Council present Meredith Willson's THE MUSIC MAN at the 2009 Springfield Arts Council SUMMER ARTS FESTIVAL, Veteran's Park Amphitheater, Springfield.

River City’s got Trouble with a capital T, and that rhymes with V, and that stands for Veteran's Park Amphitheater and a red-white-and-Broadway weekend of Meredith Willson's THE MUSIC MAN!

River City’s "citizian's" have a great big Iowa chip on their shoulders until Professor Harold Hill slides into town with a scheme to bedazzle and bilk the townspeople. Leave it to the librarian, Marian, to cause Hill to show his true colors, as the Professor colors River City with music, true love, and of course "76 Trombones!" It's family-friendly Fourth of July fun in the park!
