Urban Designers Architecture and Design Summer Camp for Ages 11-14

The Westcott House Foundation and the Springfield Preservation Alliance present an architecture & design summer camp for youth ages 11-14. This year we will investigate Downtown Springfield – exploring its built environment, rich history and promising future. Students will be challenged to provide a solution to revitalize downtown by creating models of new buildings that will respond respectfully to existing structures. Their designs will promote downtown as an attractive, successful, innovative, and culturally diverse environment. Frank Lloyd Wright’s Westcott House will serve as a source of inspiration for innovative design. Throughout the camp, students will be encouraged to think “outside the box” and take advantage of their creative potential.



Tuition is $110 per non-member child or $100 for a WHF/SPA member child. Tuition includes all art materials, entertainment, and snacks.
