The Daniel Hertzler House was built in 1854-1855, a Pennsylvania Style Bank House and is an interesting study of 19th century architecture, a design for convenience and an example of Midwestern individualism. The house was built as a farm home for a rich Mennonite and the furnishings reflect this theme. The décor centers on the pre-Civil War period. There are a few pieces from the family and the remainder are antiques of the period.

The house is open for tours every Thursday from 12:00pm until 4:00pm and Sundays from 1:00 - 3:00. Staff would ask that large groups of ten or more to call in advance. Admission is $5.00 for adults and $1.00 for students.
The house is also open on other days by appointment. For more information or a tour appointment call 937- 882-6000.
