Prairie Grass Trail

Start Time: 9:00 a.m.




Volunteers are needed to help with the annual harvest of seeds from the prairie grass fields along the Prairie Grass Trail in Madison Township. The native prairie grasses and plants along the trail are indigenous to Ohio’s native fields and can be found in this special location. The seeds collected will be used to replant other prairies in the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Park system.

Collection will begin at 9:00 a.m. and volunteers should meet at the South Charleston Train Depot and Bike Trail Staging area. The collection will take place all morning so come when you are able.

Lunch(pizza) will be provided for volunteers.
