The Springfield Symphony Orchestra will present Symphony 101, a series of informal talks designed to enhance the concert experience for those attending a symphonic performance. They are open to the general public and free of charge.

On Monday, January 12, SSO Executive Director David Deitrick will present the topic "Listening to New Music – Eye Opening, or Hair-Raising?"

On Monday, February 9, SSO Music Director Peter Stafford Wilson will present "Developing an SSO Concert Program and an SSO Season."

The final session on Monday, March 16, will be presented by SSO musicians Richard and Heather York, discussing "Theme and Variations."

Those attending the sessions should enter the Clark State Performing Arts Center at the Turner Studio Theater entrance on S. Limestone St., across from the YMCA.
