  • Storytelling is the theme of the season's second Night Lights concert. Four stories brought to musical life in four favorite light classic favorite will be enhanced with the storytelling talents of Yellow Springs residents Jonatha and Harold Wright. Grieg's incidental music to Ibsen's play "Peer Gynt" describes the wanderings and adventures of the play's protagonist. The ballet "El Amor Brujo" (Love Wizard) by de Falla is a ghostly story of gypsy jealosy. A poem by Mallarme provides the inspiration for Debussy's "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun", and Stravinsky's ballet, Firebird, recounts a wonderful fairy tale of love and magic.

Join us for a concert that the entire family is sure to enjoy!
